He specified that the Ukrainian military strikes at the nuclear power plant using MLRS and heavy artillery from the right bank of the Dnieper, from the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region and the settlements of Nikopol, Marganets and Tomakovka.

The Foreign Ministers of the G7 countries (Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Canada, Great Britain and the United States) demanded that Russia immediately transfer Zaporozhye nuclear power plant under the control of Ukraine. G7 countries believe that it is Russia's actions that “significantly increase the risk of a nuclear accident”; and “endanger the population of Ukraine, neighboring countries and the entire world community.”

Russia demanded a meeting of the UN Security Council because of the shelling of nuclear power plants, the meeting should be held on August 11. The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi will take part in it.

Zaporozhye NPP, located in Energodar,— Europe's largest nuclear power plant in terms of installed capacity. The Russian Armed Forces have been in control of its territory since February 28.
