North Atlantic Alliance would start a war with Russia if not for Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. This was stated by the spiritual leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who today met with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Khamenei noted that the situation around Crimea would be used as a pretext for a NATO war with Russia.

Recall that today in Tehran there is a meeting of the Astana trio, which is attended by the presidents of Russia, Turkey and Iran Vladimir Putin, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ibrahim Raisi. The meeting discusses important issues of cooperation between states, including grain exports from Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East, primarily in Syria.
