Watch a Short Film About NYC’s Ferguson Protests Scored by Dev Hynes

Aaron Stewart-Ahn directed a short film about the protests that swept through the streets of New York City on November 25. In solidarity with Ferguson, after a grand jury declined to indict officer Darren Wilson, the New York’s protestors, chanting “hands up, don’t shoot” and “no justice, no peace,” blocked off the Lincoln tunnel and effectively shut down parts of the city on Tuesday night. The short documentary film is an “ambient portrait” of that night with a score — a beautiful piano improvisation performed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music — provided by Dev Hynes (Blood Orange). Watch Stewart-Ahn’s moving portrait of the protest, above.
